When Christ breathed His last
at the moment of his dying
A singular moment in history;
the curtain was torn wide open
the stones fell from their stations
Power released in heaven
the earth shook with a gasp
Time and eternity overlapped
the prisoners freed at last
Light entering darkness
the dead came to life
their graves were opened
the dead alive, walking the earth
the seal of the tombs broken
time and eternity overlapped
when Christ gave up his spirit
and descended to the dead
to fulfill His promise
