So much of the Gospels is
centered on Christ’s final week
the last days of Christ’s
walk upon this earth
The days more important than
anything before.
That Christ died, taking on
our sin
suffering the pain, the
shame
setting us free, making us
clean.
Christ’s sorrows, the King
brought low for us;
Love surpassing our
understanding
such was the importance of
that week.
Up into heaven, on the third
day Christ rose
but the stain of our sin,
our names engraved;
Remaining on the flesh of
our Savior
in this age and the next.
