The stronger winds
the rain in the night
exposing the limbs;
The arms of the trees
stripped bare of their
leaves.
The colors muted
hidden in shadows
under the trees;
A sea of color
as far as the eye can see.
Wet folding in
an envelope of dew;
Drenched on the ground
other leaves falling
more raking to do.
