My humility, not enough
my pride too much;
Thinking I can do things
hardening my heart
Only the living water
God’s gentle touch;
The Potter lovingly
keeping my clay moist
Even when my heart is hardened
coaxing, wooing me back to Him;
The Potter touching my clay
that I might have life, again
Pulled ever nearer, closer,
from the darkness into the light;
Drawing ever closer, nearer,
to my brother, my Savior, the cross
