Humble Penitence – v12

Within our giving of thanks
our offering of praise
thanks to our Father
who saved us by grace
who has given us so much;
humble penitence
for our continuing in our sin.

Forgetting our Father,
the One who has given us all,
believing we are the source
the reason for our abundance
when it was the Father;
Humble penitence to God
that we would return to Him.

Without giving thanks
our humble penitence to God
turning, rejecting, leaving our sin;
we know we deny Him,
disobey, hurt Him
our sin keeping Christ
upon our cross.
