knives into the body

knives into the body

cut, ripped asunder

the one church universal

following Christ

rent, torn apart

scattered by the Enemy

the Prince of the Earth

we are losing the unity

there are deep tears in the fabric

fissures, schisms

we are no longer one

there are rips in the body

torn into little segments

strands of fabric only

we are pulling at the limbs

the flesh, the tissue

there is nothing of the tapestry

the picture, the body together

we are shattering the image

into a million pieces

the body, the church of Christ
