No burnt offerings
of the fatted calf, no blood
poured out on the altar;
God wants more from us
to offer our lives instead
That we would be
willing and obedient;
That we would be servants of the
living God,
messengers of His love
We are washed clean by Christ’s
blood
the sins we could not repay;
They are wiped from the record of
our lives
to go another way
We are called to seek justice
to help those in need;
We are to lift up those who are
oppressed
to be ambassadors of God
in every word and deed
The proof is no in burnt offerings
but in the changing of our hearts;
Submitting to God’s holy plan
joyfully doing our part
