They really didn’t understand
the parables, His message
the teachings of Christ
that He taught His first
disciples
that He shared with the
people
they really didn’t
understand
though He was talking their
language
their eyes had not yet been
opened
to the meaning of His
lessons
They didn’t understand
Christ’s words
though He was speaking
plainly to them
He used metaphors, parables,
from their lives
but they could not understand
Him
because their eyes had not
yet been opened
they would need His death,
His resurrection
they would need the breath
of the Spirit
for them to gain their
vision
They would understand later
the lessons He taught them
the words of the parable
the way of the kingdom
their eyes would be opened
after His resurrection
they would understand fully
their eyes would be opened
to
the lessons He taught them
