but what of our water, our spirits – v2

We speak of our ashes
not of our water, our spirits
at the end of our life
of our ashes returning
becoming dust once again;
but what of our water, our spirits
our life-force, our essence
returning to the skies
dancing with God.

We are freed from our bonds
the chains of our bodies, free to fly,
to soar, to rise, like eagles, light creatures
water beings, unchained, freed
to dance in the courts of heaven;
we speak of our ashes,
but our water defines us
light creatures, water beings
dancing with God.
