Bittersweet, poison,
sapping my strength
stuck in the ruts
the path of my life…
 
Needing to confess,
to repent of my sin,
to give my life, my will,
that I will live…
 
Free to follow
to take up my cross,
abandoning bittersweet,
for the path of God…
