#Satan whispered a lie – v2 #shame #Sin #sexualassault

My body betrayed me,
an involuntary action,
in that field that morning
my world was ripped asunder
by a terrible lie, not true…
 
Satan whispered a lie
that poured into my spirit
that I was guilty, shameful,
that how I felt, my sin,
was greater than God…
 
My flesh reacted,
an involuntary action,
but I listened to Satan,
I believed His awful lie
that it was all my fault…
 
I already felt abandoned,
after the loss of Jessie, after bullying,
lost in my pain before that moment,
Satan saw an opportunity,
to separate me from God…
 
Satan whispered a lie
a cancer that dwelt within me,
that my other sin condemned me,
that my shame was deserved
bearing that awful cost…
 
I did not share with anyone
pain, the lies of that moment,
not for twenty-five years,
in silence, in secret
holding what wasn’t mine…
