Gather me to your
bosom,
my mother, my Ukraina…
Bury me high on a hillside,
in the black soil, my home,
high above the Dnipro…
Let me rest in my
homeland,
Let me feel her sweet caress,
In the black soil of Ukraine,
until I fly up to my Father,
to my eternal rest…
Bring me from the
foreign lands,
to my dearest Ukraina…
Bring me home to my mother,
to her bosom, her black soil,
high above the Dnipro…
