A refrain repeating, amplified,
growing ever more urgent, daily…
Anguished cries of these people rising,
praying someone would hear their pleas…
 
Let Ukraine Strike Back…
 
Too long has terror, genocide,
this evil, this carnage, gone on,
unchecked, carved out, allowed,
by red lines, endless delays…
 
Oh, Let Ukraine Strike Back…
 
Restrictions, fear, hesitation,
costing so many lives, terror
unabated, hopes dashed, crying,
blood running in the streets…
 
A prayer, Let Ukraine Strike Back…
 
Let them strike the archers,
not merely catching the arrows…
May the skies be freed, empty,
of Russia’s missiles, this terror…
 
Oh, please, Let Ukraine Strike Back…
