only dry bones awakened from the tomb
but the treasure was not discovered
Moskal’s cruelty, their wrath fell upon
the Kobzars, the cursed three bards…
 
singing this song of misfortune,
praise of their hero, of the broken,
Bohdan was found lying naked,
at rest in an empty tomb…
 
but the Song still soars higher, glory,
ancient treasure remaining, hidden,
Ukraine’s Great Grave cloistered, guarded,
towering on the mountain heights…
