They are more than a moment of
remembrance, a minute of silence;
They are a shadow cast over their lives.
Their loss is so profound...
handwritten posters—something tangible,
their prayers, their pleas,
They honor the dead...
They weep for everyone held captive,
for the captives of the horde of Muscovites...
 
Their faces reflect their sorrow
the posters they hold so tightly,
Their loss is so profound
shattered hope, their lives,
Their pleas, written boldly
words of strength etched
raised high to honor
all those they love...
