A cross of annuals,
lovingly cared for,
planted, watered, weeded
on the lawn of the church,
welcoming all
A light above the cross
a sign of our welcome,
the hope of new beginnings
this season of blooming
of flowering of hope anew
A light, a sign,
illuminating our street
our piece of the world, the kingdom
shining in the night, the wee hours
a light above the cross
welcoming all to our doors,
to the hope we share
a light to the world
