In faith, he started to walk
at the Master’s call to him to come
His faith strong enough
walking out from safety
from logic, reason
out onto the waters
But he turned away,
lost focus on the Lord.
As he began to sink,
crying out for his teacher.
Saved by his hand,
the Lord reaching out to each one still
lifting us up, when doubts
steal our faith,
helping us again
walking by faith, even on water.
