Between the roses, the cedars
the field shimmering silver
dew life manna in the desert
covering each blade of grass
green of summer, rich
nourished by rain
obscured beneath the silver
lit up, glowing
a gift of God, of this morning
as the sun’s rays warm the yard;
fleeting color, soon to melt
