A Vessel of Clay

A vessel of clay
though son of the living God
the dual nature of Christ
wholly God
yet fully man

A willing vessel
his deity poured out
filled with the cup of our sin
taking the stain to the cross

Humbly, as a servant
Emmanuel, Messiah
the lamb, the sacrifice
God, dying for us
