Anointed by the Holy Spirit

Like the water of the river
God’s love washing over us
over the body of Jesus
anointed by the Spirit
the love of God in physical form
descending from the heavens
falling on him, landing
like a dove from heaven
giving him power
to spread God’s holy message
to heal us from our brokenness
to go into the world
