Not sometime earlier
nothing much known
of the life of Jesus
until He came to the Jordan
At the age of thirty
coming to his cousin
to fulfill what is required
to be baptized in the water
Fulfilling all prophecy
coming into the water
falling in his cousin’s arms
rising to a new calling
God speaking from the heavens
announcing this is the Christ
the first-born Son of God
His love come down
born to live with us
