Anointed with Power

The humble carpenter
rising from the waters
no longer who he was
claimed by the Creator
as his Son, the holy One of heaven
the one who was foretold
to set his people free

God’s voice booming
reverberating through the skies
claiming the Messiah
anointing Him with power
with the Holy Spirit
sending him into the world
to heal us from inside
