The plea of a mother
of others speaking
joining together
as if with one voice
I beg you to reconsider
the precipice before us
the choice you are making
leading to the pit
A judgment on us all
if we continue on this path
how we treat our neighbors
our hands on their heads
becoming our sacrifice

This is absolutely beautiful...the balance of simplicity and depth is breathtaking. I love when poetry has meaning other than cheesy love poems. Thanks for sharing!
