love allows rejection
God invites us
to accept his offer
of salvation, redemption
through repentance confession
dying to ourselves
humble like the Christ
redeemed by mercy
grace, the price
paid by the Messiah
going to the cross
yet God allows us
loves us enough
to give us free will
that we may choose
to accept or reject him
his offer, his gift
to enter the gates of heaven
or the fires of hell
the lesson hard
but so it must be
God gave us the choice
the same for you and me
