Suffering, for doing right

Humble in this walk
the call to servanthood
following Christ
humble in this life
Submitting to God
forgiving all others
offering our lives
as a sacrifice to grace
to walk with Christ
to carry the yoke
the slings and arrows
the taunts of the world
suffering as he did
our master before us
offering mercy, love
in the name of our Savior
to show the better way
the way of suffering
professing our faith
in the one who raised us
guided by the Spirit
in all our tomorrows
going on to glory
at the end of our days
