Laying Down Our Prayers

The words of the pastor
that we were preparing this place
for the young hearts
soon to enter in
to commune with you
to come before the cross
to open their lives to you
if they would make that choice

Laying down prayers
in words from our hearts
in the words of the hymns
song in this place
layer upon layer
calling them name by name
thanking you ever
for such as these you came
