The Moment of Discernment

Discernment a process
a moment of grace as well
like the workers tasked
doing their job well
Some to sow and plant
some to water, to prune, to care
but trusting in God
to grow the seed
to reap the harvest
in his own time

So as well for discerning
gifts, the path for our lives
to work as we are able
to tend the field of our life
to be the good soil
ready for the seed
to water with the word
letting the Spirit in
studying scripture
spending time with Christ
offering ourselves worthy
a living sacrifice
