On in Christ’s doing
in the timing of God
only by the Spirit’s moving
are we truly open
to the message of God
All else clouded
bound by human understanding
slogging through the clay
in the walk of our lives
needing God’s discernment
on which way to go

Coming to Christ on the Way to the Cross
Not on the Emmaus Road
Christ coming upon the disciples
the risen Christ, Easter morning
comforting their troubled souls
We are coming to Christ
joining him, walking with our master
choosing to follow the Christ
on the way to the cross
In this season of Lent
slowing our pace,
conformed to our savior
walking with the Christ
Where he will lead us
what we will learn on the way
trusting in our savior
through the narrow gate to God
