Steel Birds

Steel birds guided
giant passenger jets
driven for a purpose
accelerating with intent
malevolent, evil
striking at our hearts
killing innocent people

Steel birds swooping
diving into the towers
bodies falling
jumping to their death
no way out, no rescue
against the azure sky
clouds of war rising
nowhere to hide
