Live Free or Die
The challenge of this age
after the towers fell
our nation’s response
our wars in the Gulf
Are we truly safer
was the price worth it
the freedoms we gave up
for the illusion of control
Maybe a better path
the ancient rallying cry
better live free or die
to fight for our freedom
Not giving up our joy
our ability to move freely
taking the fight to them
while treasuring real freedom
