Wearing My Coat

Captive, attached
there for a purpose
running the computer, projector
for the body, the church

Moving close beside me
her small frame by my side
needling in closer
for she was cold this day

Wearing my coat
me now blazing white
my shirt uncovered
trying to keep her warm
at least to the end of the service
