when Christ climbed the cross
aware of the cost
the pain to him
yet still he was silent
before them
Christ did not fight back
in the courts of the temple
the Sanhedrin convicting
the living Savior
when Christ climbed the cross
the priest giving
his life for his people
that all may live
Christ the sacrifice
atoning, releasing
the judgment complete.
We were freed from our sin.
