proclaiming our innocence

do we walk with God
could we stand with the psalmist
proclaiming our innocence
righteousness before God
would we dare to speak these words
do we believe them in our hearts
that we are worthy
only needing God’s love
his strength alone to save us
not his mercy and his grace
called back from our wandering
into his loving arms
