Empty accounts, empty barns

the message in the gospel
what Christ said to them
his message repeated
in different words
the birds eating
though they did not plant
they were fed
though they did not reap
the birds ate
though they did not store
we should follow their example
life evermore
empty bank accounts
empty silos, empty barns
trusting in our Savior
in God above
knowing we will have enough
grounded in love
daily provisions for birds
and for all of us
