taking off eternity
God sacrificed
before the world began
letting us turn from him
letting us abuse the land
God offered us
many paths to him
but we turned away
choosing not to live
Christ came to save
to lift us from the dust
taking off eternity
and coming to live with us
The strangest king that ever was
washing the disciples feet
silent before the Pharisees
and climbing the cross for me
What kind of king is this
that would do all that
the one who came and died
that we would rise with him
