Hearing his blood
smelling his pain
seeing the shame
the agony of Christ
Sensing the Passion
more synapses firing
awash with the senses
our bodies alive
Tasting the tragedy
drinking of sorrow
emotions rising
not understanding this
moment
Hearing colors,
tasting his life
his sacrifice for us
alive in that dark night

segment on how babies,
when they are wearing a
brain cap,
to do EEG measurements,
don’t always
have the visual cortex
light up
when they see something
but sometimes
have the auditory cortex
light up,
as if they are hearing the
image, the colors.
