the gift of Christ’s
sacrifice
her language discordant
words unfamiliar,
“the blessings of Christ”,
these words she spoke to us
imparting that gift
the wine tasting different
not of sacrifice
as we received the cup
we heard new words
blessings of our Savior
the blessings of Christ
the gift of His love
