To receive the
kingdom
like a little
child, in wonder
we must
remember that feeling
of newness, of
delight
We must shed
our history
what we know
in this life
pulling back
our memories
to moments of
wonder and light
Like the wonder
of Christmas morning
presents under
the tree
with awe and
amazement
glimmering in
the tree’s lights
Wide-eyed
wonder, joy
in gifts
wrapped for us
receiving them
with blessings
of hope of
what’s inside
Open to God’s
call
Christ’s mark
upon our lives
heeding the
Spirit’s whisper
God’s still
small voice
All our senses
open
as a child
amazed
God’s love revealing
Christ risen
from the grave.
