Dying crocuses, alive
bright, swaying, weightless
bright, swaying, weightless
glorious in their fading
becoming translucent, transparent
in the mid-day sun
Like rice paper blossoms
or ones of thin sheets of gossamer
becoming translucent, transparent
in the mid-day sun
Like rice paper blossoms
or ones of thin sheets of gossamer
like wet spring rolls;
dying ever so graciously
at the foot of the cross
dying ever so graciously
at the foot of the cross
