A horn of salvation
the oil of Samuel
poured upon David
consecrating his life.
A horn of salvation
a promise given to him;
his family would rule
on God’s holy throne.
A horn of salvation
out of the root of Jesse;
new life coming
this descendant of David.
A horn of salvation
just as God promised
hope for our future
in the One who had come.
