Thinking of their sacrifice
those who fought and died
Honored on this day more
than most
forgotten more of the time
Needing to pause
to stop our day to day
To remember the cost they
paid
on this our Memorial Day
And yet the freedoms they
won
all things of this earth
The Savior paid the ultimate
cost
for even greater worth
Choosing to be a servant
going to the cross as the
lamb
Climbing the altar to
sacrifice
restoring Man to God
Because He died, we live
again
freed from sin and death
Joining the heroes we
remember
on every day of the year
