a fraction of Your greatness

perhaps infinitesimal

our glimpse of understanding

knowing only our clay

a fraction of Your greatness

too often we think we have things figured out

but in truth a timeless mystery

the rhythm of the seasons

the beating of a heart

the rain that quenches thirst

all of these mysteries

too many to number

yet these only a portion

a fraction of Your greatness

eternal, immortal God
