The flames of
Pentecost, the tongues of fire
burning brighter
and brighter
a bonfire, a
brushfire, disciples, lay people
witnessing to
Christ’s name, His holy name
The Spirit filling
them, their hearts, lives with courage
their mouths with
power, with authority
able, with Christ,
with the Spirit, able
to change the
world, to bring hope where there was fear
to bring healing
where there was hurt
bringing Light
into a dark world
by His holy name
able, burning bright
