Alive with power, gathered for a purpose
from the living mind of God
a cosmic tapestry, a living document,
an azure, indigo, violet, black bit of fabric
living, shimmering, sequined
like a new skin of a drum
pulled into position, new music
hands of God, pulling, drawing
stretching the tent of the heavens
across the arc of the sky
A living boundary, dimension,
over the dome, the foundation
God’s design, the framework of creation
living, the arc of the heavenly firmament
seeking to show us majesty, God’s glory
shooting stars across the night sky
like a skin of a drum, new-born
pulled into position, fastened
stretching the tent of the heavens
the work of God’s hands
