Stretching a piece of living fabric
out of the nothingness of space
in grading, shades and colors,
tailing from our sight
Hues of azure, indigo, violet, black
bits of living fabric
shimmering, sequined, bejeweled canvas
like the new skin of a drum
pulled into position, new music
Hands of God, pulling, drawing
stretching the tent of the heavens
over the dome, the foundation
God’s design, the framework of creation
A living canvas,
arc of the heavenly firmament
seeking to show us majesty, God’s glory
shooting stars across a night sky
