Judging ourselves against the world
the way others follow
falling a false measure
when the scales are balanced
when we are judged
when we come before God
Christ is the measure
what he said to them
we must love our neighbors
our neighbors as ourselves
But there was more that Christ said
why this was a new commandment
we are to love as Christ loves us,
the true measure of our witness,
our walk in this life
not by mere mortals
but the way of Christ
