His Words of the new law
the new command for us
spoken by Christ, the Messiah,
the Lamb, God
on the night before the cross
Power in Christ’s humanity
that He was both God and man
humble, as servant, submissive,
living out God’s plan
As Christ loved us, how we are to love,
this is what this means -
Christ going to the cross
submissive to God, the Lamb, the cost
Sacrificing the perfect life, the Lamb,
faithful to God’s command
loving as God loved us
The Son of God, of Man.
