We expect to find God
in these symbols of power
in the wind, in the fire,
in the fire, in the
earthquake
because God is omnipotent
filled with endless power
able to do all things
But God did not show Himself
in these primal forces
in these symbols of power;
God was in the still small
voice
the whisper in the quiet,
murmuring in the dark
the calling to the prophet.
