All she ever wanted – v3

Peeling back the layers
the hurt, the scar tissue
all she ever wanted
was a hug from her father
In her life, this journey,
while here on the earth;
The love he held from her
was a burden she carried;
A hate she could not let go of
in her walk, in this life.

All she ever wanted
what she truly longed for
was a hug from her Father
when she had crossed over,
the words, “I Love You”,
dripping from his lips;
So is my prayer, my wish
for you, in your passing,
that you would get the praise
you always longed for in this life.
