These words of Jesus
a prayer to God above,
“Father, forgive them,
for they know not
what they do.”
A prayer for us
not just the soldiers
for the Sanhedrin, for the
people
those standing
at the foot of His cross.
A prayer for us
for those now living
for all of humanity
all who have been born
since the beginning of time.
A prayer for us
for the unseen
all who came after
all who will be born
to the end of the age.
These words of Jesus
a prayer to God above,
“Father, forgive them,
for they know not
what they do.”
